"Faith" a strong word

something i have noticed recently is how some people, especially the teens at OLV seem to fake their faith, they go to sunday school or youth group and act like they are completely into their faith but then i see them outside of church and how they act, how they talk and it is definately not how they act in sunday school. i dont think any of them realize just how important it is to be true to their faith because faking it isnt going to get them anywhere with God. then again most of them are lost and i feel that it is my part as a saved born again christian to go and tell them the truth and be a witness to their sinful way of life. some people have tried to tell me that its not my place to witness to the people at OLV but i strongly feel that it is and no matter what that person or anyone else telle me i will be a witness to the people, they are lost and i care about them and i dont want to sit around and wait for someone else to do it when i am there and i am perfectly capable of witnessing.
on a higher not today i went to an akron universtity basket ball game, they played against Kent State and guess what they won!!!!!! it was a great game Akron started off strong then fell behind and pulled back ahead in the second half then went neck and neck for most of the second half then right in the last 2 minutes pulled ahead and won!!!!! woo FEAR THE ROO ... roo who? fear this... pfft FEAR THE ROO!!!!!!! after wards my family and i went to BW3's for lunch and guess who was siting behind us... Charlie Frye, Braylon Edwards, and Kellan Winslow. wow me and my cousin were excited! it was cool! even though i dont realy follow pro football t was still really cool to have football players sitting behind us and at the game we saw LeBron James, that was awesome! i do follow pro basketball! go cavs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
last saturday i had the most amazingt time at the hunger center at grace united church in akron... i was at first not realy wanting to go because i had to go with people from OLV who i realy dont get along with at all. but while i was there we were all able to put aside our differences and not fight or anything like that. there were i think about 170 people lined up for free meals. wow as the people filed in the social hall to get their hot meal it brought tears to my eyes to see so many people who were so less fortunate than i am. as they would leave we would hand them a bag lunch with a sandwich, candy bar and an apple. one man as he was leaving he said "an apple a day just isnt enough these days" that really got to me i found it so saddening to me to know that something i take for granted like an apple or a hot meal is something that these people only get once in a while. yet at the same time it brought joy to my heart to think that even though these people suffer there are people like us who can help them. i realized at the end of that day that God had sent me to the hunger center without friends so that i could really take in the image and the poverty that is right here in akron ohio. wow! God works in amazing ways!

well much love until my next post.
