I AM ALIVE IN 2006!

well, to say the least, ALIVE WAS.. okay rosie, i'm gonna say it, AMAZING!!!! woooooooooooo

Tuesday we had a great Kick-Off concert with Third Day and the former Backstreet boy Biran Littrell! woo haha he did a medley of Backstreet songs and it was sad that i knew every word to the songs.. hey everyone liked the Backstreet boys at one point right?

Wednesday i had fun watching Matt Redman and my dad was drawn down to the mud pit during Bethany Dillon and Rebecca St. James, wow, i laughed at that But Rebecca St. James was a great performer,i cant really say that about Bethany Dillon but she's still got great music. during Kutless the people around me started moshing and i freaked out and started crying and i bolted out of that pit, only to see that they decided to do my favorite songs right after i left, but hey i was scared of the moshing. Leann, Rosie and I went to wait in line for Kutless' autographs and right as were were out of the tent they all jumped out of their seats and screamed "aaghhhhhh" at the top of their lungs. oh my goodness it was so scary.

Thursday was a very interesting day, it began beautiful in the morning, got a mini storm while we were at the festival grounds, got sunny again then stormed once again. the first storm un four girls seeked shelter under the melody barn. during the second one something crazy happened. leann and i were still sitting on our chair atop the hill while rosie and kassie had gone to buy a tee-shirt from sanctus real and get autographs. just after they had gone some guy came on stage and told everyone that in about 15 minutes there was going to be a storm twice as big as the one earlier and there were possible tornadoes. well leann and i put the chairs away and gathered everything up in record time and ran as fast as possible toward the barn. meanwhile we assumed that Kassie and Rosie had enough sense to just stay underneath one of the tents. about 5 minutes later kassie walks up t us and says that she csant find rosie. apparently they had seen people running and rosie had said "something isn't right" and went to find us and then we werent on the hill and thats when Kassie lost her. so kassie and leann were freaking out and getting scared and i was like dude, its going to be alright. i tried to get scared but it was like God was telling me, no it'll be okay Brittany, he gave me a sense of calmness that just washed over me and i was comepletely secure and not scared. our camp site had flooded so we just packed up and came home. we missed Tobymac and Jeremy camp and that made me sad, but theres always next year.

Friday was awesome we say a fuinny speaker by the name of Justin Lookadoo and he cracked us up! the pit was nothing but a mud bowl, it rained all morning but cleared up by the afternoon for the concerts. Chris Tomlin did the best worship that i have ever experienced! he was soooooo good! wow then to close up the night there was Relient K, fresh off of 3 hours of sleep, and 19 hours of traveling i'm pretty sure they were pretty jet lagged, or car lagged. their drummer had just woken up 7 minutes before tey began the show. haha but they did a great job anyway! i had fun getting muddy up to my knees and screaming the words to the songs at the top of my lungs but that pretty much took away my vocal cords for saturday.

Saturday the day that will go down in Alive Festival history, and brittany rhodes history as well. somehow i managed to get front row for Audio Adrenaline's last time at alive and i tell you, tey didnt let me down. i got some great pictures of the stage and i saw Hawk Nelson up front! they were great! Audio Adrenaline's concert reduced me to tears and i seriously think that there was a puddle in front of where i was standing from me crying so hard. it was their last time to ever perform at the Alive Festival because they are calling it quits at the end of this year as you should all know by now. i was seriously in hysterics from crying and jumping and screaming all at the same time. according to Bill Graening (the coordinator of Alive) they have been coming to Alive for 12 years, that is the most times that any band has ever been there. for a long time they have been named the "House band of alive" by the staff, festival goers, and themselves. it is going to be hard to be at alive without the house band there but i will make it through. casting crowns followed them up and as the lead singer from Casting crowns said last night "no one should have to follow up after Audio Adrenaline, they are too good" i said "AMEN" to that. i agree, and i have nothing against Casting crowns, i love them as much as the next person but seriously, after getting hyped up and excited they kind of had no chance to even win the crowd because they were a soft band. they were kind of setting themselves up for a bored crowd just because they arent as high energy as Audio Adrenaline. the lead singer of Casting crowns was a funny guy and they sounded great in concertbut hey ya gotta admit (if you've seen Audio Adrenaline in concert) NO ONE CAN FOLLOW THEM UP!!!!!!!! i'm not bitter just very opinionated towards AUDIO A i love them!!!!!!!!!!! who else does it for 15 years straight and still is able to get everyone in the entire aphitheater arrea on their feet and screaming????? thats right no one except them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok definetly didn't say "something isn't right..." haha sounds like some crazed British old lady sitting in her rocking chair and she sees a rabbit running across her lawn and then it falls over and dies and she goes "something isn't right..." yeah since that made sense.

my ears are still ringing from Audio A and it's been like two days. and I think that's really bad. I'm probably going to need a hearing aid by the age of fifteen but hey I did it for them and it was worth it... "with a sensitive side!"

ok I really want a Hawk Nelson kazoo now. like really want one. that was ama-- no that was SPLENDID.

and yes Justin Lookadoo is my hero too. as well as being Jewish.

and did I mention that Relient K is 100% incredible? and I found out I own a VHS copy of Top Gun and I think we need to watch it. as well as have that old-school Audio Adrenaline party.

and this = longest comment of my life.
